I can’t tell you how special these are to myself and my family.
They are memory linked so specifically to some of the most wholesome and wonderful memory’s of our beloved Grandmother.
Her name was Marica (Mar - Rit - Sa).
She was a woman to behold. To admire and respect. She gave everything to everyone. I am sure she would be proud to share her beloved Prśurata(Push-Ur-Ra-Ta) recipe with you and your family. Love you Nana.
INGREDIENTS
2 c plain flour
2 tsp baking powder
3/4 c sugar
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
2 eggs
1 lemon, zest and juice
1 orange, zest and juice
1/2 c sultanas
Dash of vanilla
3 tbsp brandy
Water
Preheat oil to 175°
Combine all the ingredients in a bowl except the water. Add a little say 1/4 c a a time till you reach batter consistency. That should be enough but just incase. You want it like pancake batter.
Drop spoonfuls into oil and cook till lovely a golden.
Allow to dry before coating in cinnamon sugar.
