I used to make these when I lived in Sydney years and year and years ago. It wasn't until last week when Tomo and I were walking through the supermarket did I find chocolate waffle cones that I remembered.
These are so easy and super fun. Great for any kind of party and also for kids to get creative. Free free to use white, milk or dark chocolate (or if you are super healthy you could use yoghurt). Again with the sprinkle - use whatever you want.
4 chocolate or vanilla waffle cones, pre-bought
150 g 60% dark chocolate
1 tbsp milk
1 tbsp butter
2 tsp golden syrup
2 mini crunchy bars, roughly chopped into peanut sized pieces
1 tbsp pistachios, chopped
1 tbsp cranberries, chopped
Hokey pokey ice-cream
Melt the chocolate, milk, butter and syrup in a bowl over just simmering water. Stir constantly.
Remove from heat.
Dip the top of the cone into the chocolate and use a spoon to create an even edge around the cone and also the top of the inside.
Once its nicely coated in chocolate, sprinkle over combined toppings and place on a tray in the freezer. Continue with the remaining cones.
Once the chocolate feels firm, scoop out your favourite ice-cream, fill and serve! Enjoy!
Plain Chocolate or Over The Top Amazing
Waffle cones are available in pretty much every supermarket.
