Chocolate Peanut Brownie Biscuits

I know I know, what a title. These are seriously not good for any form of weigh loss dreams - however they are brilliant for regaining calm when one is in dire need of a chocolate fix. Im sure that whoever receives these little darlings will be exceptionally happy. If you double the mixture, make sure you keep a few for yourself.

I have tested the recipe with crunchy and smooth peanut butter. The smooth peanut butter made the biscuits quite gooey with slightly crisp rims, whereas the crunchy peanut butter made the biscuits crisp and a little chewy.


105 g dark chocolate
90 g butter
1 egg
100 g light muscavdo sugar
100 g crunchy peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla essence
100 g self raising flour
200 g dark chocolate drops
10 g 80% dark chocolate, shaved
100 g milk chocolate drops
110 g salted peanuts

Preheat oven to 180 degrees

In a small saucepan melt chocolate and butter together over a low heat until smooth and glossy. Leave to cool for 5 minutes.

In a bowl beat egg and sugar together until fluffy. Stir in the chocolate mixture, then peanut butter and vanilla and mix until smooth. Lightly beat in the flour, make sure there are no lumps.
Stir through the remaining ingredients.
On a lined baking tray drop spoonfuls of the mixture, I use a dessertspoon. Try to make them as even as possible and give them a bit of space as they spread out.
Bake for 11 minutes. If you want crunchier biscuits cook them for a little longer.

Once cool place in a sterilised jar or cellophane bag. Tie with a pretty ribbon. Give to friend.
