Simple, easy and ommy nom nommy. This is one of my 5pm emergency dinner recipes.
Feel free to put whatever you want in. I had some fresh coriander and garlic roti breads in the fridge which I served with this meal. I know, clashing cultures, but it worked.
2 tbsp rice bran oil
800 g diced beef
2 tbsp kecap manis
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1/2 tsp fish sauce
4 drops of sesame oil
1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
1 tsp garlic, minced
1 tsp shallot, finely chopped
1 tsp fresh red chilli, sliced
3 stalks bok choy, separated and washed
1 packet Hakubaku Organic Udon Noodles
1 tbsp white sesame seeds
Heat oil in a large fry pan. Brown meat over a high heat in batches and set aside.
In a large saucepan, boil water (no salt needed), once rapidly boiling add noodles. Follow packet instructions.
Lower heat on fry pan, add kecap, soy, oyster, fish, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, shallot and chilli. Once melted together bring heat up and add bok choy. Cover and cook until just tender.
Add meat and stir together.
Once noodles are ready, toss everything together. Arrange in a bowl, sprinkle over sesame seeds. Serve.
