Apple Porridge with Toasted Coconut, Almonds, Banana and Spiced Cream

Best way to start your winter's morning day.

To me this is pretty healthy, however you can use trim milk and no apple juice to make it somewhat weight watchers approved. I wouldn't. 


1 c rolled oats
1/2 c apple juice
1 c water
2 tbsp thread coconut
1 tbsp slivered almonds
1 banana
75 ml cream
75 ml milk
1/2 tsp cinnamon

Preheat oven to 100 degrees.

Arrange the coconut and almonds on a tray. Place in the oven and toast for 5-10 minutes or until lightly golden.

In a small saucepan combine the cream, milk and cinnamon. Bring to a gentle boil. Set aside.

In a medium saucepan combine the oats, apple juice and water and cook over a medium to high heat for 2 minutes or until oats are cooked and liquid thickened.


Serve. Enjoy!
